Card with "A Childs Year"

Hello Everyone-Happy Wednesday!

I thought since we are feeling like a Stampede-I would make a card that you would go along with it.

I made this card using "A Childs Year"  The paper is My Minds Eye. The stamp is from "My Pink Stamper-Boy Crazy" You can order the stamp set by clicking HERE.

  • I cut the shadow in brown 2 times and cut 1 time in the blue paper at 3 1/2".
  • For one of the brown cuts-I simply cut the cowboy hat off (tossing the rest of the body)  and embossed using  my Hounds tooth Cuttlebug folder.
  • Before attaching the hat-I took some twine in yellow and taped down to the blue paper and glued on the part of cut that looks like hair.
  • I then found a very small flower and copper colored brad and attached to hat.  I then placed the hat on the blue cut.
  • The blue silhouette is popped up off the brown to give it definition.
As for the stick.  I just used some jute and glued it down. The used a Stampin Up punch for the Yellow/Goldish paper.  Added a little brown lace a few buttons and we are done.

Come show me some love and make sure you are following me.  I also have another picture to share so just click HERE

I will show the boy version tomorrow on my blog so make sure you come see me at www.lvscrappin.blogspot.com

Have a great day!

  1. So cute Wendy! Is the sentiment your hand writing or is that a stamp? I just reread your post and didn't see a stamp company mentioned. Maybe I'm missing it because it is 4 AM and I haven't really slept yet! lol I love the look of it and was just wondering if it is a stamp, who makes it.
