Cricut: The Official Blog
Friday, June 11, 2010

Hi everyone. I haven't posted in a while since I was so busy wrapping up my spring class schedule. I was planning to take June off, but as it turns out, I'll be taking the next 6 months off. This week, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Next week, I'll start chemotherapy. I'm not going to use this blog for updates, but started a new site at CaringBridge, which is specifically for that purpose. You can read lots more info on what's going on, and stay up to date as my family and I will be posting frequent updates. Here's the site: http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/moniquegriffith

Thanks so much for your support and prayers, and I hope to be doing more fun and creative posts here on this blog soon!!

Hi Monique,

I just got home from my 25th class reunion. I found out that one of my classmates had been diagnosed with breast cancer 2 years ago. It really hit home how we are all susceptible no matter what. She overcame and survived. I am praying that you will too!

Praying for strength and courage so you can "fight like a girl." Also, here is a quote I found not long ago and gave to a friend who is fighting cancer: "Hope is putting faith to work when doubting would be easier. Author: Unknown"

Monique - I really know what you are going thru - I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2007 - as you can see, I am a survivor! AND, I have no doubt that you will join the ranks of "survivor" very soon. Hang in there with the chemo and I will be thinking about you and you and your family will be in my prayers - this is quite a journey we are on, isn't it?

A motivating discussion is definitely worth comment. There's no doubt that that you should publish more about this subject matter, it might not be a taboo matter but generally folks don't speak about such issues.
To the next! Cheers!!
