Calling all Cricut geeks!!! Who'da thunk you'd need a laptop for scrapbooking? Well, for this project, you will! I am launching a series of Cricut Design Studio classes at Green Tangerines. This software has become so popular, and yet it seems that so many people get stuck trying to figure out how to work it. Maybe because the manual that comes with it is useless, and the software is a little on the quirky side. But I have mostly figured it out now, and we're going to have some fun with it. So the first step is to get signed up for my Design Studio Software Seminar. Ok, so the one in August is actually full with a waiting list, but we are going to add another one in September due to the demand. Not sure of the date for that just yet. Anyway, after you take that seminar, or if you're at least half-way comfortable working the software, you're ready for this fun FALL Wordbook Class. This class will run September 10th and 29th, and we may add another date in October. Each class is limited to 12 students, so they'll likely fill up pretty quickly. You'll need to bring your laptop with DS installed and working, and your Cricut. I'll show you how to design and create this chipboard wordbook. It's crazy fun! Yeah, and then your brain will start going wild with ideas on how to vary this idea. All of your friends will start pestering you to make books for them and all their kids and neighbors and pets. So just be prepared for that, ok? Or you can just practice saying "Go get your own stinkin' Cricut!"

Uh-huh. I think somebody around here took a few weeks off. What's up with that???? It's summer, dang it, and I wanted to hang out with my cute little Emily. We had a blast running around, swimming, hanging out with friends, and even getting to see some family who were here from Texas. Yee-haw!
So it's back to work time, and therefore back to school time. Us teacher types at Green Tangerines are creating all kinds of fun school-themed projects, and I thought it fitting to follow up my Preschool/Elementary school layout with a High School counterpart. Whaddaya think? I had to think waaaaaaay back to get my noggin back into that high school mode again.
This layout was made with the Cricut (duh), and uses the Locker Talk cartridge. This cart is ridiculous (fantastic). The class is scheduled for Saturday, September 6th way too friggin early in the morning (10am-1pm). There are a ton of sweet (fun) details in this layout, and once again we will get to use the Cricut markers. Wicked, man (good times). And there's a boatload (lot) of inking and other gnarly junk (wonderful things) going on too. It's gonna be sick (a positive experience). So call and get your butt into this class so you're not a total wasted loser (disappointed). Whatever - I'm outta here.
