Cricut: The Official Blog
Friday, March 4, 2011
Hey, Happy Friday!  Let's get this weekend started!  If you're here from Everyday Cricut, thanks for stopping by again today.  I hope you'll continue to follow my blog here as we have so much more planned!  If you haven't checked out Everyday Cricut yet today, you can get all of the details there on how to make this Princess Party Layout yourself.  (Also, be sure to check out Wendy's Bling Queen blog - she's giving away a Rainy Day kit!  And I'm giving away a Birthday Cakes cartridge - see below for details.)

As promised, here is a little video I made on how to make a frame when there is no frame feature on your cartridge - just like the thin green frame in the layout above. This concept works great with many different shapes. Hope you enjoy!

Today is the final day in our Week of Giveaways to celebrate 2000 followers. And to go with the Princess Party Layout above, I'll be giving away a Birthday Cakes cartridge. This is not just for the Cake machine, you know. It can be used in your regular Cricut to make cards, layouts, etc. To enter, just follow this blog and then leave a comment on today's post.  It helps if you leave your email address too so I can contact you if you win. I will post winners for each day's prize this weekend.

We've really bombarded you this week with a bunch of new kits. And here's one more! I designed this one myself, and not only will it be a kit, but it will also be offered as a class for those of you who are local to the Northern California area. The class is March 24th from 6-10pm. Kits will ship out a few days later on March 28th. This project is 6 cards with coordinating envelopes. I was originally just going to do 5, but couldn't narrow it down. The Just Because cartridge just has WAY too many cute card options, so if you don't own that cart, you should seriously add it to your collection!!!  To order the kit or sign up for the class, email me at moniquegriffith@yahoo.com.  Just tell me which kit (or class) you'd like, your state, and preferred payment method (PayPal or check).  See below for more info...

Included with this kit, you'll receive all of the patterned papers, cardstock, ribbon and Ranger "Liquid Pearls" that you need to complete the project. You'll also get full directions with Cricut Cut Chart that shows you line by line exactly what you need to cut on your machine with all of the settings. There's also well-organized written instructions and plenty of color photographs.

To complete the cards as shown, you will need the following supplies: Cricut Expression and mat, Just Because Cards cartridge, dark brown chalk ink, 3D pop-dots, white gel pen, ruler and scoring bone, plus basic tools and adhesive.

The complete kit (or class) is $25, or you can order just the directions for $10. Shipping is available, and is $5 in California or $6-$9 in the rest of the US, depending on location. I'm happy to combine shipping if you're ordering other kits.

To order, just email me at moniquegriffith@yahoo.com. Tell me which kit (or class) you'd like, your state so I can calculate postage, and preferred payment method (PayPal or check). This kit will ship out March 28th.

I hope you'll join me here again next week.  I'm planning to show you the layout I'm making for the Cricut Stampede, and will also be showing you how our kits work.  Plus more fun projects and how-to's!  I also do weekly blog candy, so there's plenty to keep you busy.  Thanks so much for checking out my blog and for all of your fabulous support during our week on Everyday Cricut.  It has been an absolute blast!!

We specialize in making Cricut Project Kits that you can make on your own with your Cricut, learning more about your bug in the process. You just need your Cricut Expression, the required cartridge(s), and a few basic tools. The directions come with a Cricut Cut Chart that shows you line by line exactly what you'll need to cut on your machine, with all of the settings for each cut. There are also well-organized written instructions and color photographs. We pride ourselves on our detailed designs, and on teaching others how to most effectively design with the Cricut. Currently, we have have downloadable directions on sale for only $5, and there are over 50 projects to choose from.
