Any Disney fans out there? For today (and maybe tomorrow too), I thought I'd share a few layouts I did of our family's Disney Cruise a couple of years ago. These are pretty simple layouts using Mickey & Friends, Mickey Font, and the princess carts. The paper is from a pack that I bought on the ship. These are not what I'd call my "best" work, but this is pretty much how I scrap when I'm actually trying to get something done, LOL! And you'll probably notice that I'm terrible about journaling, so do not follow my example on that - I'm bad!!
Don't forget to leave a comment on today's post for a chance to win this week's blog candy. I will pick a random winner, and that person will get to choose a theme for a layout that I will custom make just for them. It'll be a completed layout - not a kit, so you can pick from any cart I own (about 120) for the theme. You could even pick a layout like the "Gone Buggy" one I posted on Friday with the new Cricut Everyday cartridge. Totally your choice, and I'm super excited about doing this - it's going to be SOOOO much fun for me - and hopefully for you too!
Easy layout with Mickey and Goofy from the Mickey & Friends cart. Even the journal tag is from that cart.
Close-up of the Goof himself. I tied twine through the buttons to add more texture and somewhat of a nautical look.
Sail Away Baby was cut with the Mickey Font. That's the only Cricut work on this layout. Yes, I'm a big ol' cheater using those pre-printed border strips.
The Mickey head was cut with Mickey & Friends, and the "Room with a View" is the Mickey Font. I turned this into a little pocket to hold our room keys. "Animator's Palate" was actually welded in Design Studio, and then cut out in yellow and black, off-setting the bottom layer so it looks like a shadow.
Cinderella is from the Happily Ever After cartridge, and Belle is from Dreams Come True. Pretty sure the title is from Dreams Come True as well, hehe.
Close-up of Cinderella. The princesses are not the easiest things to cut and assemble, but if you do them fairly large, they're not too bad. These were each cut at about 5 1/2" I believe. The eyes are the trickiest part, and I used a white Signo Uniball gel pen to help with that.
Here's Belle. I added Diamond Stickles to the dresses of both princesses for extra pizzazz.
Thanks for stopping by. I'll have more Disney Cruise layouts tomorrow. And btw, we've got something exciting going on NEXT week, so stay tuned for more details later. It's gonna be FUN!!!

These are amazing! I want to go on a Disney Cruise!!
Monique - love your Disney layouts. My son has never been there. He's actually going to get to go with his band in May for a competition. He's sooo excited and I'm excited that I get to go too because he needs a chaperone (he's only in 5th grade). He's actually more of an outdoorsman, than anything Disney or popculture. We've been doing the National Parks and historical sites for vacations since that has been his first choice. So glad I will be able to scrap some Disney pics. TFS

Wonderful layouts for so many great memories!
Oh my stars! Super cute layouts! And I have to give a shout out to Nana Susan for hittin' the mark, yet again, with another darling layout! Love the tea party! Ok, so theme ideas....shoot, I have so many that I could be here all day. But one thing that I find challenging at times is the fact that my 2 youngest kids are one boy and one girl. It's hard to do a layout to incorporate them both into. So maybe a sibling-type layout that is neither too feminine nor too masculine? I have many ideas but I'll save them to post throughout the week. Hugs to you, girlie! Looking forward to seeing everyone tonight!!!
I love the Disney layouts! My favorite is the princess layout. I've been on he Disney cruise and it was so much fun. It is not just for kids! Great work Monique!
Great job! Love the princess layout with princess Emily!
Hugs,
Peggy

These are GREAT!!! I think I can adapt/scrap-lift some of them without putting the "cruise boat" and then I will be able to add my Disney photo's into my album-pics that are sitting patiently in photo boxes...oh, i luv them all!!!
You've certainly outdone yourself once again. Just having the memories scrapped is an awesome achievement. You can tell you had a fantastic Disney experience.

Those are Awesome! You r GREAT! Thanks for sharing.
I love all the Disney layouts! Thank you! Also, thanks for "keepin it real" by showing us some of your layouts! :)
I love seeing your layouts. I just got the Mickey and Friends and the font to make baby albums. I love how you put it all together. I am really bad about journaling as well, probably because my handwriting stinks when I need to be perfect. I have unjournaled pages from my sons high school grad, and he's going to be 25 next month! Arghh...
What great layouts. Looks like you had a lot of fun on your trip. I don't use a lot of Cricut on my pages because I am so far behind and want to catch up but recently, I have started cutting out more than one character or item except for titles, so that I can have them for future layouts so hopefuly this will help with that.
Monique
I love anything and everything Disney and have always wanted to take a Disney Cruise with my granddaughter maybe next year??? I am working on a disney SB for her to honor our 2009 Disneyland visit that we got to do with her. These LO's are absolutely adorable. TFS
